Few notes for Y cables ( power splitter ) :

1) according to most experts, you can connect one Y cable to every 4 pins male molex

connector directly extended from your power supply.

2) If the power cable has two 4 pins male molex connectors,

you can connect a Y cable to one of them only.

3) You cannot daisy-chain Y cables. If you diasy chain Y cables, your power supply may not

provide enough power to your drives. You may experience power drop with your drives

or your raid configuration may be degraded randomly.

The length from the male connector to the first female connector is 3 and 1/4 inches.

The length between two female connectors is 1 and 3/4 inches.
